Iranian Armed Forces symbol of peace, Islamism and patriotism

Speaking at a ceremony marking National Army Day in Tehran, he noted that the Iranian army is strong, progressive and self-sufficient.
Iranian Army is symbol of Islamism as well as patriotism but in the meantime, it is also an army that guarantees security in the region and regional states can rely on its help to secure regional stability.
Iran’s defense doctrine is based on logic and peaceful interaction with the world, the president added.
He asserted that Tehran has never launched aggression against other countries over the past two centuries but is ready to give crushing response to any possible aggression.
“[Our] neighbors should know that the [Iranian] Army and other [units of the] Armed Forces are the custodians of stability in the entire region,”? he said.
Dr.Rouhani said: “We... have declared and continue to assert to the world that we do not seek aggression; we do not seek wars. We favor logic and dialog. We will not invade any country but will firmly counter any act of aggression.”? He said that Iran’s Armed Forces proved to the enemy both during and after the eight-year Iraqi-imposed war against the Islamic Republic that they will not allow malicious plots by big powers against Iran.

In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.
